The late Doug Henning was a cheerful pop-culture icon of the 1970s. His chipmunk grin and dangling hair become as ubiquitous as the Farrah Fawcett bathing-suit poster. The Canadian magician’s fame was sealed with The Magic Show, a Broadway musical that ran for more than four years. This 1981 filmed version of a live Toronto stage production is not exactly the original show. Some of Henning’s …
Swan Lake became an unexpected popular hit when radical choreographer Matthew Bourne took Tchaikovsky’s traditional ballet by the scruff of the neck and reworked it with a myriad of modern influences and themes to astonishing effect. While working on a section of the divisibility of a website, through some interesting facts about the numbers, to someone who knows nothing about these things, it seems like magic mental arithmetic.
If I do not know, the divisibility of a number refers to whether a numbers can be evenly divided among themselves. For example, 24 is divisible by 2, but 13 not leaving a trace.
Here are some magic tricks arithmetic I've found that mental can use to impress your friends, your colleagues, your teachers. . .
1. if a number is divisible by 3 then so are numbers on the basis of mixing the original digits. For example, consider that 123 is divisible by 3. Then 132, 213, 231, 312 and 321 (obtained by mixing the digits 1, 2 and 3 which comprise 123) are divisible by 3. This is called a permutation of the digits of a number. Check it out for yourself!
2. to compensate for a number that is divisible by 4, are a numberr and label in any 2-digit number divisible by 4. For example, I do the number 111111111, and now I tag 16 (which is divisible by 4) at the end to get 11,111,111,116. This number is divisible by 4. Check it out!
A trick interesting result of it. The following numbers are divisible by 4: 116, 1116, 11 116, 111 116, and so on. . . Not what you would expect!
3. if a number is divisible by 6, then any permutation of its digits will give a new number divisible by the time the last digit 6 is even. For example, 1272 is divisible by 6. The permutations of its digits, keeping the last digit, even gives me 2172, 2712, 1722, 7122, 7212, that are divisible by 6. Check yourself!
4. to compensate for a number that is divisible by 8, the process is similar to point 2. above. Make up a number and a label in any number 3 digits divisible by 8. For example, I make the number 777 777, and now I tag 016 (which is divisible by at the end to get 777 777 016. This number is divisible by 8. Check it out!
Another trick is a consequence of it. The following numbers are divisible by 8: 7016, 77 016, 777 016, and so on. . . Again, not what you would expect!
5. if a number is divisible by nine then so are the numbers on the basis of mixing digits original. For example, consider that 189 is divisible by 9. Then so are 198, 819, 891, 918 and 981. Check it out!
6. if a number is divisible by 11, then the odd permutations of its digits and / or its digits, even give it a new number is also divisible by 11. For example, consider the 154 which is divisible by 11. Then so is 451 (obtained through the exchange of their first and third digits). Another example, consider that 1122 is divisible by 11. Then so is 1221 (obtained through the exchange of their second and fourth digits). Check it out!
7. whether a number is divisible by 12, then any permutations of its digits (except the last 2) will give new figures also divisible by 12. For example, 14 652 is divisible by 12. Then so are 16 452, 41 652, 46 152, 61 452 and 64 152. Check it out!
You have to agree that those are like magic tricks you can do arithmetic in his head. Hence the title of this article will magical mental arithmetic. In case you are wondering "why is that?" The answer is the test determines whether a number is divided by another.

Hoedspruit Cheetah Project and King Cheetah Endangered
The elusive king cheetah has only been seen in the wild six times what it raises questions about whether, in fact, any still remain. However, the Hoedspruit Cheetah Project has been instrumental in the breeding of these rare cats in the rehabilitation center in animals Northern Transvaal Province of South Africa.
Conservation volunteers regularly come to Hoedspruit Cheetah Project to assist with the rehabilitation of these large cats. But while many people have heard it all some people about cheetahs have heard of the enigmatic king cheetah. But with so few sightings in the wild can blame them?
The king cheetah was first seen in Zimbabwe in 1926 when it was considered that an animal is completely different from the standard cheetah. Without But while the king cheetah may look a bit different from other cheetahs can spot in the Hoedspruit Cheetah Project really are exactly the same animal. The difference most notable between the two leopards is their different coat pattern that has three stripes on their backs. Later it was discovered that these lines were actually distinguishing the result a rare form of genetic mutation. King cheetah must have a recessive gene from both parents, which explains why the condition is so rare.
Although the condition may be rare, the Hoedspruit Cheetah Project staff have been successful in breeding these exotic cats. This is an important exercise because it broadens the gene pool of the species. Conservation Volunteers project in Hoedspruit Cheetah often see firsthand the effects of inbreeding, and with so few cheetahs left free to young people are often born with crooked teeth and bent tails showing the importance is to ensure that the gene pool is successfully expanded to include rare subspecies leopard and the king.
volunteers in the Hoedspruit Cheetah Conservation Project are guaranteed many of the practical experience with a particular emphasis on improvement and maintenance of cheetahs in captivity. Twice a week conservation volunteers will even have the opportunity to feed these large cats is difficult to achieve definitely an experience in itself. There is also the opportunity to assist in the veterinary treatment should arise while you are no experience in animal rehabilitation.
As well as the practical experience students will attend weekly lectures on conservation, including a lot of information on topics as diverse as the biomes that make up the natural habitat of the cheetah presentations on the genetic makeup of cheetahs king.
While in the Hoedspruit Cheetah Project, conservation volunteers have the opportunity to explore many interesting sights of rafting opportunities South Africa's most famous Blyde River Canyon in the early morning hot air ballooning over the Kruger National Park, which provide a unique perspective in which "Great Day of South Africa five, elephants eating leafy trees to the lions sunbathe on the grass. Who knows if you are incredibly lucky it can even detect a rare king cheetah safe limits of your basket.

This was a test, so only the balloon filled up to half of butane. I lit my long-handled butane lighter, the light for barbecues, and slowly advanced to the globe. I'm not sure if there was any sound or not, I was too fascinated by the fireball that engulfed the arm in an instant, then vanished leaving only the smell of burnt hair, to listen. Hmmm, I think maybe you should come to a different exciting Notwithstanding that butane gas filled balloon!
Slow Motion Video at 1000 frames per second
David Fischer, a long-time friend of mine and still photographer and film director, and myself, were under consideration David in the middle of a session of slow-motion video. We were shooting footage with the Phantom HD high-speed video camera.
This camera can capture amazing high definition images at 1000 frames per second. When the video is played at a slower pace, say 30 frames per second, you have video ultra slow motion. Grand Vitesse We are also beta testing of software systems with the new user interface and hardware for next generation 444 GVS9000 2XU VTR which is scheduled to be released in January 2010.
Flight of a ladybug in HD
The combination of the Phantom and the VTR GVS9000 rolled really a breeze. The camera shoots in bursts four seconds (32 gigabytes of data) and capture continuously. This means you can set the capture time for actually start until, well, almost four seconds, before hitting the record button.
This is extremely important when shooting action that can be impossible to predict, as the flight of a sissy of a finger. Before capturing a scene that you can set the frame rate of 24 fps to 1000 fps, or even much higher if you do not need high definition resolution. Once you've captured his four seconds in just a couple of times to play again.
A simple slider to set the game speed back, then color-corrected and becomes the codec you want, or format, on the fly. The whole process is incredibly simple and efficient and really allowed us to focus on creative aspects of our meeting. Like finding a way to ignite the gas-filled balloons out ourselves wounding!
Phantom HD, GVS 9000, and ease of use
Use ghost with the GVS9000 2XU VTR 444 was incredibly easy. My experience with the video before this shoot was limited to a Panasonic HVX-200. Although I have been professionally shooting still images for over thirty years, I'm still very new in motion. I found using the phantom with the system GVS9000 actually be easier than shooting with the Panasonic!
Custom Soft Boxes and lots of light
A challenging aspect of shooting ultra high speed (slow motion) video is the lighting. To shoot at such high speeds frame requires a large amount of light. Most of our clips were shot with 10,000 watts of tungsten light.
Our main source of light was made to measure a soft box with five 2000 watt lights mounted inside. Depending on the shot, sometimes throwing an extra 4000 to 6000 watts of light in the background and / or add some lights 1000 watts of new to the subject of a light or an embossed effect of the border.
The calibration of the monitor and display of confidence
An important consideration is the calibration of the monitor. GVS 9000VTR The software provides a histogram, waveform, vectorscope and many more options to facilitate accurate exposure. It even offers the ability to capture RAW compressed format to see a visual difference in quality before saving shots.
Since we were using a dual monitor setup and go through the calibration process, the result was a rather large difference between our two monitors, and resulted in less than a comfortable confidence in our discussion.
It is worth mentioning that the exhibition is very important when shooting with the Phantom and the white balance is often a good idea. Fortunately, white balance and black are easy to execute.
Large storage capacity
Another characteristic of the VTR GVS9000 really helped our efficiency in production is the large storage capacity in a compact and portable. We have been able to shoot in RAW all day without interruption and without fear of running out of hard drive space. The configuration used is shown a storage capacity 4000 GB with hot swappable drives and RAID level 5 protection. The solution GVS can transfer large amounts of data at blazing speeds.
The extraordinary in the ordinary
Shooting with the Phantom was truly a case of finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. In one case it was decided to shoot Tumbling Dice. I dropped a single die, from two or three inches tall on a marble surface. I had to fall from a height as low because if not moved an inch closer or further away from the camera, we could lose our focus.
The fate echoed for a moment and stopped. David and I looked at each other, agreed that there was nothing interesting about that particular part of action, but decided to play back anyway to check the focus. It was fascinating! Luck struck the surface marble, stood up and almost out of the frame, was presented with a slow, lazy spin, hit the marble appeared, and just stood there for what seemed to turn an eternity. Totally cool!
Water Balloons and women's hair
If it was a balloon of water bursting and leaving a tear-shaped body hanging the water, apparently frozen in the air, twisting cat to land on your feet and hair of a woman undulating in the wind, the phantom allowed us to see things we've never seen before. The VTR GVS9000 gave us the ability to quickly view our catches and make adjustments without interruption in our flow. It is difficult to pinpoint what important it is for both our creative process and the bottom line.
This experience is the slow motion a great example of my approach to stock video. Shooting video for livestock makes sense if you have passion for what your shooting, and / or you can take advantage of a case still adding video shoot, or in this case, a rare opportunity presents itself.
You know those little umbrellas you put in the villages to drink some decoration? so I saw this type take pole Part of every two of those. then put one end of the stick on the edge of the table and held the other end. then put the other stick on top of that and it bounced and jumping. it was cool. has not yet blown over it and there was no chain. How does this or at least what we call this trick?
It is likely something along the lines of "umbrella dancing."
