Catholics Are children allowed to watch The Magic School Bus?
Her hair is now gray and thinning, the lanky frame is slightly bent and glasses and eyes are more a permanent fixture. But the eyes behind the lenses are still alert and alive, and the voice is still ringing cadences Hawk-Eye, the battlefield unstoppable anti-hero who helped make M * A * S * H one of the most honored television series of all time. It could be that, at age 71, Alan Alda is demonstrating how to age gracefully. It is true that the big star is behind him – although Hawkeye and his friends still enjoy a healthy life in reruns and on DVD. And he also, without regret, put his day of screenwriting and directing behind him. But he continues to act on television, in movies – who currently plays a newspaper editor Resurrecting the Champ – and on stage. On the other hand, still writes and has a new book, called The things I heard while talking to myself, out of Random House, September 4.
His schtick was stale a few weeks ago, baby.
