Magic has existed longer than any other type of performing arts and in fact, probably since so long as we do. Magic was originally made as part of the rites of worship, religious leaders, to show how powerful a particular god and servant cure. These magicians invented tricks and worked out how to do it themselves. They could buy them at a magic shop, and transmitted the secrets of his tricks selected trainees.
In those days were called witches or wizards magicians, and illusions were not considered magic tricks. The book "The Discoveries of Witchcraft, Reginald Scott published in 1584, provided an explanation of how many of these magic tricks are done. It was not just a witch and sorcerers who uses a sleight of hand, but street thieves also use it to steal bags of people.
Magic was taken to theater John Eugene Robert-Houdini and Jacob Philadelphia in the eighteenth century. Houdini magic tricks were complex and designed by himself, something that every magician had to do at the time, since there is no magic shop for people to buy magic tricks. Magic became a popular form of entertainment in the nineteenth century, and traveling shows and theaters have magicians. magic shops began to appear when people began to specialize in creating illusions for stage magicians.
Of course people eventually began to learn magic tricks were done. Harry Houdini, protected their own illusion secrets, but exposed the tricks they use media for seances. Houdini, being himself a magician, magic tricks knew worked and so I wanted to debunk the spiritualists and mediums throughout the exhibition.
In the magic of the twentieth century was still popular, and many television variety shows include a magician. This wide exposure through television led to an increased demand for new illusions, and also a greater number of magic shops. Wizards fans can now buy magic tricks and family and impress friends with your skills. Magic stores' best customers were often children.
Magic is still popular as a form of current industry entertainment, both on television and in vivo. People are now much more clever when it comes to how magic tricks work, so the illusions have become much more sophisticated. Often the illusions have been designed by the magicians themselves closely guard their secrets. There are some magicians like Penn and Teller, known to expose the secrets behind magic tricks.
People can usually buy the standard types of illusions in a magic shop now, and there are plenty of books available that explain how the most popular work.
