Hot knife small plastic bottles for fast cutting and silent?
Hello, I'm looking for a knife that I use to cut bottles 1 gallon plastic. Need small, is able to cut the bottle pretty quickly, and should be fairly quiet. The reason I need this is because I am designing a magic trick, and I need to keep the knife up his sleeve for the most part. And it needed to cut the bottle pretty fast and not too strong. Does anyone know of something that could be used to do this? What I found so far is just a razor blade, which is a bit too slow and difficult to cut bottles. I was also looking hot attatchments welders with knives. If anyone knows if the butane hot knife would do the trick, please tell me. Can you hear them burning out loud? Or if you have eclectic portable hot knives that would be great. Any idea of what a utility knife would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!
A hot wire cutting of polystyrene foam that is available in most craft shops. It operates out of a size "D" battery. I think it will be too big for its purpose, but maybe you can find a way to adapt. Look at the section where they sell Styrofoam. Hopefully this will work.
