Balloon Twisting Art
What is a good place in the US to move my family and business?
Me and my partner are both in our early twenties and have a 1 1/2 year old son. We are looking for a nice safe place to move, with sunshine, trees, and plenty to do. We're moving from a small town in Michigan (awful). I lived in Texas for 12 years and I liked it, but I love California, it's just so expensive. I own a small children's party service (face painting, costumes, balloon twisting, etc.) so I need a location where that would be successful.
Here's some things I'd like to see:
Diverse, Open-minded
Safe Family Environment
Big on Art
Mild-Warm Weather Usually
Mid Price Range
Not a big busy city, but also not rural
Nature
Oh and under a 2 hour drive to the beach is a plus!

The periphery of the San Francisco Bay area, so your business has plenty of potential customers, but where housing isn't as astronomically priced as it is closer in. Maybe someplace like Livermore, Fremont, or Los Gatos.
